Horizon & UKRI Consortium Development
Many funding programmes succeed or fail long before submission.
Strong consortiums require more than aligned interests. They require clear objectives, complementary capabilities, realistic delivery structures and a shared understanding of how programmes will move from strategy into implementation.
WeFoundry is exploring approaches to support the development of deployment-oriented consortiums connected to UK and European funding opportunities.
Our current areas of focus include:
Horizon Europe consortium development
UKRI and DSIT programme partnerships
cross-border collaboration structures
challenge-led programme design
commercialisation and deployment pathways
integration of universities, industry, infrastructure owners and investors into coherent programme structures
We are particularly interested in programmes connected to:
infrastructure and urban systems
clean growth and energy
digital and AI-enabled systems
university commercialisation
regional innovation ecosystems
deployment and scaling methodologies
Rather than acting solely as a bid-writing support function, our interest is in helping shape programmes that have credible pathways toward validation, adoption and long-term deployment.
This includes exploring:
governance structures
deployment frameworks
consortium alignment
commercial and investment pathways
procurement considerations
operational delivery models
Our collaboration venue in Luxembourg supports this activity by providing a neutral environment for workshops, strategic sessions and cross-border programme development.
